Who we are
Taumba Savings and Credit Co-operative Society is a savings and credit co-operative registered under the Co-operative Societies Act, Chapter 24:05, of Zimbabwe. We are responsible for the personal information described in this notice.
What we collect
When you apply for membership we collect:
- Your name, national identity number, date of birth and gender.
- Your phone number, email address and physical address.
- Your occupation, employer and income details.
- Your next of kin's name, relationship and phone number.
- Copies of your identity document, a passport photograph, proof of residence and your signature.
When you send us a message through the website we collect your name, email address, phone number and the content of your message.
Why we collect it
We use this information to assess your application, to meet the identification requirements that apply to financial co-operatives, to maintain the member register, and to contact you about your membership. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.
How it is stored
Application documents are held on private storage and are visible only to authorised staff who are signed in to the co-operative's dashboard. They are never published on the public website.
How long we keep it
Member records are kept for as long as you are a member and for the period afterwards required by the Co-operative Societies Act and by our auditors. Applications that are declined are kept for a limited period so that we can answer any query about the decision, and are then deleted.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only where we are required to by law, or with auditors and regulators acting in that capacity. We do not share it with marketers.
Your choices
You may ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Write to info@taumba.co.zw and we will respond.
Cookies
This website sets a session cookie so that forms work and so that staff can stay signed in to the dashboard. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
